COMPILED AND EDITED BY SUSAN HILL
First published in 1997, three months
after the tragic death of Diana, this little book contains
accounts by ordinary men and women of the day they met
Diana, in a wide variety of circumstances, formal, informal
and private, happy and sad. The original edition sold
over 30,000 copies and has been out of print for some
years. It is now a collectors' item and copies fetch
up to £200.
This new edition, for the 10th annmiversary of Diana`s
death, has a fresh cover and an updated introduction
as well as the original by Susan Hill. It is published
in a very limited edition of 1,000 copies and will sell
out quickly.
It gives a wonderful insight into the personality of
Diana as ordinary people met and were touched by her
- her beauty, charm, friendliness, down-to-earth approach,
concern and sense of humour. Her laughter rings through
the pages and the descriptions of her acts of generosity
and helpfulness, her wisecracks and her great thoughtfulness
for people, especially those in any sort of need provide
a much-needed antidote to the often intrusive and hurtful
media portrayal of her.
