The shortlist for the Long Barn Books BEST LOO BOOK is announced today, Tuesday June 19th
- Submissions were either as a full text or as a proposal with sample chapters. We were looking for originality, ideas which were interesting, had some substance, and were fully thought-through. We specifically stated that we did not want clones of previously published books, lavatory humour or books of lists.
- We had difficulty getting down to a manageable shortlist because we had so many excellent submissions. Altogether it has been a very successful competiton.
- The winner is guaranteed a contract for publication in hardback by Long Barn Books in 2008 and consideration for mass market paperback publication by Simon and Schuster.
